Having Reverence and Respect for the Body
In so many ways we use and abuse our bodies.
Jesus' coming to us in the body and his being lifted with his body into the glory of God call us to treat our bodies and the bodies of others with great reverence and respect.
God, through Jesus, has made our bodies sacred places where God has chosen to dwell.
Our faith in the resurrection of the body, therefore, calls us to care for our own and one another's bodies with love.
When we bind one another's wounds and work for the healing of one another's bodies, we witness to the sacredness of the human body, which is destined for eternal life.
몸에 대해 존경심과 경외감을 가지기
여러 모로 우리는 몸을 사용하면서 함부로 대합니다.
예수께서 몸을 입고 우리에게 오셨다는 사실, 그리고 몸을 가지시고 하나님의 영광 속으로 들리움을 받았다는 사실은 우리의 몸과 다른 사람의 몸을 큰 존경심과 경외감으로 대하도록 우리에게 요구합니다.
하나님은 예수를 통해서 우리 몸을 당신께서 거하시기로 작정하신 신성한 곳으로 만드셨습니다.
따라서 몸의 부활에 대한 우리의 믿음은 우리 자신의 몸과 서로의 몸을 사랑으로 돌보라고 우리에게 요구합니다.
우리가 서로의 상처를 싸매어주고 서로의 몸을 치유하려고 노력할 때, 우리는 영원한 생명을 얻도록 예정되어 있는 인간 몸의 신성함을 목격하게 됩니다.
