Baptism and Eucharist
Sacraments are very specific events in which God touches us through creation and transforms us into living Christs.
The two main sacraments are baptism and the Eucharist.
In baptism water is the way to transformation.
In the Eucharist it is bread and wine.
The most ordinary things in life - water, bread and wine - become the sacred way by which God comes to us.
These sacraments are actual events.
Water, bread and wine are not simply remainders of God's love; they bring God to us.
In Baptism we are set free from the slavery of sin and dressed with Christ.
In the Eucharist, Christ himself becomes our food and drink
세례와 성찬
성례전은 하나님께서 어떤 물질을 통해서 우리를 만지시고 살아있는 그리스도로 변화시키는 매우 특별한 사건입니다. 두 가지의 가장 주된 성례전이 바로 세례와 성찬입니다. 세례에서는 물이 변화를 일으키는 방법이 됩니다. 성찬에서는 그 방법이 떡과 포도주입니다. 삶 속의 가장 일상적인 것들인 물, 떡 그리고 포도주가 하나님께서 우리에게 오시는 거룩한 방법이 되는 것입니다. 이러한 성례전은 실제적인 사건입니다. 물, 떡 그리고 포도주는 단순히 하나님의 사랑을 일깨우기만 하는 것은 아닙니다; 그 것들은 우리에게 하나님을 모시고 옵니다. 세례를 통하여 우리는 죄의 종노릇에서 벗어나서 그리스도로 옷 입게 됩니다. 성찬을 통하여 그리스도 자신이 우리의 먹을 것과 마실 것이 됩니다.
