Recognising Christ in Suffering Communities.
Communities as well as individuals suffer.
All over the world there are large groups of people who are persecuted, mistreated, abused and made victims of horrendous crimes.
There are suffering families, suffering circles of friends, suffering religious communities, suffering ethnic groups and suffering nations.
In these suffering bodies of people we must be able to recognise the suffering Christ.
They too are chosen, blessed, broken, and given to the world.
As we call one another to respond to the cries of these people and work together for justice and peace, we are caring for Christ, who suffered and died for the salvation of our world.
고통 중에 있는 공동체 속에 계시는 그리스도를 알아보기
개인들뿐만 아니라 공동체도 고통을 당합니다.
온 세상을 둘러보면 핍박당하고, 부당한 대우를 받으며, 학대 당하면서 끔찍한 범죄의 희생양이 되는 수많은 사람들의 집단들이 있습니다.
고통을 당하는 가족들도 있고, 고통을 당하는 친구 집단이 있으며, 고통당하는 종교적 공동체, 고통당하는 민족 집단, 그리고 고통당하는 나라들이 있습니다.
이렇게 고통당하는 사람들의 공동체 속에서 우리는 고통당하시는 그리스도를 알아볼 수 있어야합니다.
그들 또한 선택받고, 축복받으며, 찢겨져서 세상 속으로 주어져야 합니다.
서로가 서로를 이 사람들의 울부짖음에 응답하도록 불러내며 정의와 평화를 위해서 함께 일할 때, 우리는 이 세상의 구원을 위해서 고통당하시고 돌아가셨던 그리스도를 돌보고 있는 것이 됩니다.
