Friends and Their Limitations
We need friends.
Friends guids us, care us, confront us in love, console us in times of pain.
Although we speak of "making friends", friends cannot be made.
Friends are free gifts from God.
But God gives us the friends we need when we need them if we fully trust in God's love.
Friends cannot replace God.
They have limitations and weaknesses like we have.
Their love is never faultless, never complete.
But in their limitations they can be signposts on our journey toward the unlimited and unconditional love of God.
Let's enjoy the friends God has sent on our way.
친구들, 그리고 그들의 한계
우리에게는 친구가 필요합니다.
친구는 우리를 인도하고, 보살피며, 우리에게 사랑을 경험하게 하며 , 고통의 때에 우리를 위로합니다.
“친구를 만든다”라고 말하기는 하지만, 친구는 만들어질 수 없습니다.
친구는 하나님이 주시는 값없는 선물입니다.
그러나 우리가 하나님의 사랑을 온전히 믿어야만 친구가 필요할 때 그분은 우리가 필요로 하는 친구를 주십니다.
친구는 하나님을 대신할 수 없습니다.
그들은 우리가 가지는 한계와 약점을 그대로 가지고 있습니다.
그들의 사랑은 완전무결하지 않습니다.
한계는 있지만 그래도 그들은 무한하고 무조건적인 하나님의 사랑을 향해 가는 우리의 영적 여정에 표지판이 될 수 있습니다.
우리가 가는 길에 하나님께서 우리에게 보내주신 친구를 즐거운 마음으로 받아야 합니다.
