The Body of Community
When we gather around the table and break bread together, we are transformed not only individually but also as community.
We, people from different ages and races, with different backgrounds and histories, become one body.
As Paul says: "As there is one loaf, so we, although there are many of us, are one single body, for we all share in the one loaf" (1 Corinthians 10:17).
Not only as individuals but also as community we become the living Christ, taken, blessed, broken and given to the world.
As one body, we become a living witness of God's immense desire to bring all peoples and nations together as the one family of God.
공동체라는 몸
우리가 식탁 둘레에 모여 앉아 함께 떡을 떼어 나눌 때, 우리는 개인적으로 뿐만 아니라 공동체로서도 변화되는 것입니다.
우리는 서로 다른 연령과 인종의 사람들, 다른 배경과 이력을 가진 사람들임에도 한 몸이 되었습니다.
바울은 그 것을 이렇게 말합니다: “떡이 하나이듯, 우리가 여럿이지만 하나의 단일한 몸을 이루고 있는데, 그 것은 우리 모두는 같은 하나의 떡을 나누기 때문입니다”(고린도전서 10:17)
개인으로서 뿐만 아니라 공동체로서도 우리는 살아있는 그리스도가 되어 택함 받고 축복받아 찢겨져서 다른 사람들에게 주어지는 것입니다.
하나의 몸인 우리는 모든 민족들과 국가들을 하나님의 한 가족으로서 불러 모으기를 한없이 바라시는 하나님의 살아있는 증인들이 됩니다.
