첫날처럼Becoming the Mystical Body of Christ
As we gather around the Eucharistic table and make the death and resurrection of Jesus our own by sharing in the "bread of life" and the "cup of salvation", we become together the living body of Christ.
The Eucharist is the sacrament by which we become one body.
Becoming one body is not becoming a team or a group or even a fellowship.
Becoming one body is becoming the Body of Christ.
It is becoming the living Lord, visibly present in the world.
It is - as often has been said - becoming the mystical Body of Christ.
But mystical and real are the same in the realm of the Spirit.
그리스도의 신비한 몸이 되는 것
성만찬 식탁에 둘러 모여 “생명의 떡”과 “구원의 잔”을 나눔으로써 예수의 죽음과 부활을 우리의 것으로 만들 때, 우리는 더불어 그리스도의 살아있는 몸이 됩니다.
성만찬은 우리가 하나의 몸이 되도록 하는 성례전입니다.
하나의 몸이 된다는 것은 어떤 한 조, 어떤 한 집단, 혹은 어떤 하나의 친목 단체가 되는 것이 아닙니다.
하나의 몸이 된다는 것은 그리스도의 몸이 되는 것입니다.
그 것은 세상 속에 뚜렷이 현존하시는 살아계시는 주님이 되는 것입니다.
그 것은 흔히 하던 말로 그리스도의 신비한 몸이 되는 것입니다.
그러나 영의 영역에서 신비와 현실은 동일한 것입니다.
