첫날처럼Our Lives, Sowing Times
Our short lives on earth are sowing times.
If there were no resurrection of the dead, everything we live on earth would come to nothing.
How can we believe in a God who loves us unconditionally if all the joys and pains of our lives are in vain, vanishing in the earth with our mortal flesh and bones?
Because God loves us unconditionally, from eternality to eternality, God cannot allow our bodies - the same as that in which Jesus, his Son and our savior, appeared to us - to be lost in final destruction.
No, life on earth is the time when the seeds of the risen body are planted.
Paul says, "What is sown is perishable, but what is raised is imperishable; what is sown is contemptible, what is raised is glorious; what is sown is weak, but what is raised is powerful; what is sown is a natural body, and what is raised is spiritual body" (1 Corinthians 15:42-44).
This wonderful knowledge that nothing we live in our bodies is lived in vain holds a call for us to live every moment as a seed of eternity.
우리의 삶, 씨를 심는 시간
우리가 이 땅에서 사는 짧은 삶은 씨를 뿌리는 시간입니다.
죽은 자의 부활이 없다면, 이 땅에서 사는 모든 삶은 허무한 것이 됩니다.
우리 삶 속의 모든 기쁨과 고통이 공연한 것이며, 우리의 썩을 살과 뼈와 함께 땅 속으로 사라져 없어질 뿐이라면, 아무런 조건 없이 우리를 사랑하신다는 그 하나님을 어떻게 믿을 수가 있을까요?
하나님은 우리를 아무런 조건없이, 그 것도 영원부터 영원까지 사랑하시기에, 하나님은 우리의 몸을, 즉 그의 아들이자 우리의 구원자이신 예수께서 우리 앞에 나타나셨을 때 가지셨던 것과 똑같은 그 몸을, 마지막 멸망 속으로 사라지도록 내버려 둘 수 없으십니다.
절대로 그럴 수 없으며, 오히려 땅에서의 삶은 부활의 몸을 위한 씨가 심기는 시간입니다.
바울은 “썩을 것으로 심지만, 썩지 않을 것으로 살아납니다. 천한 것으로 심지만, 영광스러운 것으로 살아납니다. 약한 것으로 심지만, 강한 것으로 살아납니다. 육체적인 몸으로 심지만, 영적인 몸으로 살아납니다” 라고 말합니다(고린도전서 15:42-44).
우리가 몸을 입고 사는 삶은 전혀 헛된 것이 아니라는 이 놀라운 앎은 매 순간을 영원의 씨로 여기고 살라는 우리를 향한 요구를 담고 있습니다.
