첫날처럼SEPTEMBER 17
Standing Erect
About the end-time Jesus says: "There will be signs in the sun and moon and stars; on earth nations in agony, bewildered by the turmoil of the ocean and its waves: men fainting away with terror and fear at what menaces the world, for the power of heaven will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and glory"(Luke 21:25-28).
All of this is already taking place. For anyone who has listened deeply to the heart of God, the despair of the world and the coming of the great liberation are both visible every day.
What then should we do? Jesus says it clearly: "Stand erect, hold your heads high, because your liberation is near at hand" (Luke 21:28).
There is so much hope here.
We do not have to faint but can stand straight, welcoming our Lord with outstreched arms.
똑바로 서기
마지막 때에 관하여 예수께서는 “해와 달, 그리고 별에서 징조들이 나타날 것인데, 땅에서는 민족들이 고통 속에서 바다와 그 물결이 일으키는 혼란으로 인해서 넋을 잃으며, 사람들은 세상을 위협하는 것들 때문에 공포와 두려움을 느끼며 까무러치게 될 것인데, 그 것은 천상의 힘이 흔들릴 것이기 때문이다. 그리고 그 때 그들은 사람의 아들이 능력과 영광과 함께 구름을 타고 오시는 것을 보게 될 것이다”라고 말씀 하십니다 (누가 21:25-28). 이 모든 일이 이미 일어나고 있습니다. 하나님의 마음에 깊이 귀 기울이는 사람은 누구나 세상의 절망과 더불어 크나 큰 해방이 도래하는 것 또한 날마다 봅니다. 그렇다면 우리는 무엇을 해야 할까요? 예수께서는 “올곧게 서서, 너희의 손을 높이 들어라, 왜냐하면 너희의 해방이 가까이 와있기 때문이다”라고 명확하게 말씀하십니다. (누가 21:28) 여기 이 말씀 속에 정말 많은 희망이 있습니다. 우리는 까무러칠 필요 없이, 오히려 똑바로 서서 활짝 뻗은 팔로 우리의 주님을 반갑게 맞을 수 있습니다.
